Lavin Eskandar, a teacher at a school in Trollhättan, Sweden who was murdered yesterdat in a terrorist attack by a white supremacist on a school!

„Pictured above is 20-year-old Lavin Eskandar, a teacher at a school in Trollhättan, Sweden who was murdered yesterdat in a terrorist attack by a white supremacist on a school targeted because it has a high percentage of immigrant children.

The killer entered the school with a sword and mask and, after posing with students who thought it was a Halloween costume, began killing them.

The murderer targeted students based on their skin color, stabbing darker students while leaving lighter students alone.

Lavin Eskandar jumped in front of the attacker as he attempted to stab his students during the attack, and was killed as a result.

15-year-old Ahmed Hassan, a student at the school, was also killed in the attack.

Remember Eskandar’s face, remember the face of a hero, and remember the toll that white supremacy takes. White supremacy often operates in more subtle ways, through discrimination and daily acts of hate and microaggression, but terror is its child as well. Police terror, individual white supremacist terror, and the collective racism produced by society as a whole.

Remember that this attack in Sweden was preceded only a few years ago by the slaughter of 77 people in Norway — most of them youths at a summer camp — also by a white supremacist fed up at immigration from non-White countries.

Remember all of this, next time the media tries to convince us that terror has a color, and that color is somewhere between black and brown. Remember this when people try and tell you that racism isn’t a problem, that White supremacy is an exaggeration, and that just because the vast majority of school shootings around the world are carried out by white men (and not, say, the Taliban) it doesn’t really mean anything and we shouldn’t notice a trend.

Remember this face.

Rest in Peace, Lavin Eskandar. You died so that we may live.“
